Bookings for Pedagogy at the Polish
Sorry - Both sessions fully booked
Pedagogy at the Polish is designed as an opportunity for us busy teachers to engage in some critical reflection about our practice.
Our session on September 19 (4pm to 6pm) will focus on using information from writing assessment to inform classroom instruction. Specifically, we'll consider the writing traits, writing processes and national testing criteria. And you'll get some precious time to analyse your students' compositions. Sounds good, right?
The first session on August 29 focused on collaborative small group activities for the classroom - using reading, writing, speaking and listening skills as tools, in an authentic context. This session was now fully booked. You can read the positive feedback from participants on the Testimonials page.
These workshops can contribute two hours toward teacher identified activities for professional registration through TQI or two hours toward teacher identified professional learning to maintain accreditation in NSW
COST: $88 per session (inclusive of GST)
There's ample free parking at the venue - simply drive all the way around the side and back of the Polish Club to find spaces. Just in case it's full, you're welcome to use the Croatian Club's carpark, next door - turn left as you leave the Polish Club.
Walk through the front door - there'll be someone there who can direct you to the Conference Room.
We'll have some light refreshments available - water, juice, fairly average coffee and tea, and some tasty treats.
Please know that this venue requires that you're able to climb a flight of stairs.
