- collaborate with colleagues to plan for delivery of professional learning in each participant's own educational context

Pedagogy at the Polish
Limited to small groups of participants, Pedagogy at the Polish is a series of workshops developed with busy teachers in mind, who still want (and need!) to take time out to be critically reflective practitioners.

Daytime PL is becoming increasingly troublesome to organise; teachers don't really want to leave their students and relief staff are difficult to find. Student-Centred Spelling: You're Not the Boss of Me!

In order to spell well, students need to increase their linguistic knowledge for spelling, while effectively using multiple spelling strategies (Westwood, 2008). This day of professional learning will assist teachers to answer the following questions:
- How can a student-centred approach to spelling instruction be implemented in your classroom?
- What linguistic knowledge is necessary for spelling competency?
- What are some effective spelling strategies?
- What are the benefits of personal lists?
- Is it possible to marry student-centred spelling with other approaches and programs?
Participants will:
